Digital Literacy

As technology evolves, we encounter more and more information every day — and sorting through so much information can be overwhelming. Digital literacy is the ability to use the internet and other digital tools to find accurate information and apply that information to our own lives.

Whether you’re looking to teach digital literacy skills or boost your own digital literacy, these resources can help. Learn more about how to use the resources on this page.

Why Teach Digital Literacy Skills?

You’ve probably met people with a wide range of experiences and comfort levels with technology. For example, some people grew up with the internet, while others didn’t — and some people like to try new apps and social media platforms right away, while others are more hesitant. But in today’s digital world, most of us rely on the internet to find information and stay connected to the people and topics we care about. By teaching digital literacy skills, you can help to give everyone the skills they need to navigate online information.
